Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet Announced, Running On Android And Ready To Battle With iPad

Today, Amazon unveiled the next wave of their very own tablets and e-book readers. Shaking the world with their incredible comeback in the tablet race.

There are four tablet variants that Amazon launched. The top end tablet is the Kindle Fire which runs on Android operating system and powered up with 7″ IPS gorilla glass display, 1 GHz Ti OMAP dual core processor at 512MB RAM and storage of 8GB. The unique feature of Kindle Fire is a different UI compared to other Android devices as it is using a customized interface made by the company.

The first e-readers is the non-touch version reader boosted with 6″ ink display and more compact design and is priced only at $79. The other e-readers is Kindle Touch and Kindle Touch 3G with multi-touch ink display and a choice of enabling 3G on it. These are priced at $99 and $149 for non-3G and 3G respectively.
