Just few months back when I review the Samsung Q330, my portable and powerful laptop computer, I found out that it’s not good on my lap anymore.
Why? It’s because of too much heating in its internal hardware causing the heat to radiate on the left side portion of the keyboard. And it is very uncomfortable every time I place my left hand on top of the dashboard while typing or resting. Much more if I placed my Q330 on top of my laptop which the heat is very unbearable.
Considering all portable computers produce heat, but this one on Q330 is quite hotter compare to most computers I’ve been used. Well, there’s a proof of photos I’ve taken below showing what is the CPU temp and laptop’s temp near on the surrounding ventilation or exhaust grills system.

Reading: 92.4 F / 34 Celsius. Vents are located in left side which both are near in the loudspeaker and on the back of it.

CPU Temperature reading.

I really don’t know the exact cause of this issue but in my guess, the top source of heat problem is the design of Q330 both exterior body design and internal hardware placement. Also, Samsung designers didn’t address and take note to leverage the cooling mechanism of Q330 in several conditions and events.
Now, I can’t really find any solution to this problem except from minimal use of computer which will hinder all my multitasking works. And so, all I need to do for now is live with the problem, hope and wait for the next upgrade, maybe an ultrabook that has better cooling system.
