Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime Officially Announced, First Quad Core CPU Tablet Confirmed

The Asus Zenbook-like tablet that was flying in our rumor section for the past weeks has been finally unveiled. The Asus Transformer Prime on the Eee Pad brand is the second tablet from the company and inheriting the hybrid form-factor as it will still support a keyboard option also in a new slimmer design.

Asus Transformer Prime packs a lot of powerful innards. Sporting the latest Nvidia Tegra 3 with quad-core CPU and 12 core GPU, the Transformer Prime is the first device to run on it. Along with the powerful cpu and gpu combo, the Prime also have 1GB RAM, 32GB/64GB storage choices, and whooping 12hours ave. battery life. You will see 10.1″ IPS Gorilla Corning display in front along with the 1.2MP front facing camera and ensures a 178° viewing angle. On the back the 8MP camera is present and it is capable of shooting 1080p video or Full HD. The overall thickness of the Prime is measured at 8.3mm and weighs at 586g.
