
UPDATE (21/12/2011): SE Russia confirmed that Xperia Ray, Xperia Arc S, and Xperia Neo V will receive the update of Ice Cream Sandwich on March 2012 followed by other devices ’til April.
SE recently released the alpha ROM version of the Ice Cream Sandwich for their Xperia handsets these include Xperia Arc S, Neo V, and Ray. The target for this update is the advance developers. The unbaked ICS version is limited in functions and is accompanied by many restrictions. You can download the Android 4.0.1 right in SE developer site.
On the other hand, the xda-developers had released an alpha ROM version of Ice Cream Sandwich for Samsung Ace. Again this alpha ROM version are only for developers and advance users.
Samsung Galaxy S II and Galaxy Note ICS Update on Q1 2012
The ICS update for Samsung Galaxy S 2 and Galaxy Note is already slated to be available on Q1 2012. The update roll-out will be soon followed by Sammy’s high-end smartphones starting from the Galaxy R to the range of Galaxy tablets from 7.0 plus to 10.1. Carrier variants of these devices will be also updated but release date might be a bit late.
