Nokia Says No More Symbian Branding, Nokia Belle Upgrade Is Coming On Feb 2012

Nokia have finally extended their re-branding strategy even to their Symbian line ups.

Symbian branding is ditched out from all sections, much noticeably on the Symbian updates from Symbian Anna, Symbian Belle, Symbian Carla and succeeding updates. Instead, Nokia will be the main company brand and thus succeeding and current software version of Symbian will be named to Nokia Belle and so on.

Arrival of Nokia Belle updates to Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia X7, Nokia E6, Nokia C6-01 and Nokia C7 (Astound, Oro) will be slated on February 2012.

Nokia Belle

The second big update of Nokia after Nokia Anna is the Nokia Belle. This brings new improved and re-designed UI like the one the current Belle devices such as Nokia 701, Nokia 603 and Nokia 700. Homescreen is now more flexible on customization. Unlike on Nokia Anna, you can now pick resizeable widgets, have an individual homescreen design on portrait and landscape mode, add up to 6 homescreens, and more.
