According to Focus Taiwan, manufacturers and suppliers close to Apple are rushing the production line in order to achieve the target units before Feb 24. It suggest that Apple is securing enough supply of the upcoming tablet before they finally launched it. Take a little pinch of salt for this rumor though as some says March-April is still a perfect timeline for iPad 3 announcement.

iPad 3 Release Will Lower iPad 2 Prices
Apple promises that iPad 2 prices will be lowered once the iPad 3 is slated to worldwide market release next year. The company stated that the price range will start from $249 to $499 for iPad 2 16GB to 64GB, respectively, and depending on the variant. They also answered the question whether the iPad mini, a smaller version of iPad tablets, is on the making, and unfortunately, it will not come, instead iPad 2 price will be reasonable for this.
Philippines Price for iPad 2 Next Year After iPad 3 Release
The current price of iPad 2 16GB today in Philippines’ market is around 23,000 to 25,000 Php, so, after iPad 3 release here, we might see a price drop to 19, 000 to 20, 000 Php same to iPad 1 price when iPad 2 was launched.
