Molome v2.0.1 with camera support for Nokia N9 Review [Video]

The latest version of Molome for Nokia N9 has been updated in the Nokia Store. It now supports taking shots right in the app using the provided nifty interface for the camera. Other features include three page choice viewing which is also present on the previous version. There is a timeline for friends and popular section; a capture button with gallery and camera options; and an account option for notifications and management.

Let’s break down deeper on each page and its sections.

Timeline

You can view Molome photos on this page with friends and popular sections. From either section gives you an array view of the latest photos. Tapping on a photo navigates you to the larger viewing and from there you can drop or read comments and add love points. The only down to this section is that you can’t swipe or hide down the virtual keyboard once it’s popped out. The only option to this is to go back using the top button.

Molo-ing

The camera interface is locked in portrait mode with flash on/off switcher, a gallery shortcut key, and below you can find zoom and capture keys. I noticed that there is no macro option but I think to capture close up shots you need to tap longer on the camera capture button.

Currently there are thirteen effects on board with an easy crop and drag editing features too once you’ve selected a photo before uploading. I also noticed that there is no molo or miniature effect but I guess this and other more effects will be added on future.

Account management

This page covers your profile, notifications and app settings section. On this side you will know your acct preferences, achieved badges, notification types like love points, comments, etc., and see numbers of followers and people you followed. There is an easy-one-tap follow button too on top of every Molo-er’s profile who appeared on your notification section.

Conclusion

If you want an instragram-like app for your Nokia N9 then Molome is definitely the only choice for you. It has a nifty interface, the transitions are quick, loaded wide selections of effects and there are only few bearable small glitches. And more important is that it is free and you can try it too in you Nokia Belle and other devices aside from Nokia N9.
