Samsung is very happy to announce a new addition to their Galaxy series family in the form of Samsung I9070 Galaxy S Advance. It’s a smaller and more affordable version of Galaxy S2 and might be the real big contender against iPhone 4 & iPhone 4S especially here in Philippines. Find out more below.
The new Galaxy S Advance is the best affordable alternative for the aging and higher-spec Galaxy SII. It features an innards of a dual-core 1GHz processor paired with 768MB RAM and 8/16GB storage plus a microSD slot of up to 32GB. Design is quite the same too from its big siblings like the S2, slim, sleek and compact. All this because of the big display of Super AMOLED at 4-inch size and dedicated Android menu buttons and a matte finish at the back where the 5MP camera capable of HD video shooting is attached. Software and connectivity wise, the Galaxy S Advance boasts a WiFi b/g/n support, 3G speed up to 14Mbps, Bluetooth 3.0 and runs all in Android Gingerbread which is likely a big candidate for Ice Cream Sandwich or Android 4.0 later this year.

Apple iPhone 4/4S vs Samsung Galaxy S Advance & S2
This announcement from Samsung will might create a big shake up for Apple here in Philippines as Filipino will slowly realized that the price difference for iPhone 4/4S compare to Galaxy S Advance and Galaxy S2 are big all with the specs differences in many aspects esp. larger display. However, we can’t deny that Apple brand is still big here as well as Nokia’s brand too. So in the end it’s a matter of advertising and product placement will drive the consumers.
