Windows 8 Tablet Specs & Features

An interesting tech sheets have been discovered revealing some of the important Windows 8 features and specs that Microsoft laid out to their OEMs as requirements. Remember these are the required base specs and features but not the actual ones on the final Windows 8 tablet.

*For W8 PC with no keyboard (tablets that are not hybrid): Windows key + Power (for CTRL + ALT + DEL)

*For W8 tablets and hybrids:

  • Five hardware buttons must be available. These are power, lock, volume up and down, Windows key
  • Connectivity: WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC (attached with NFC logo or label)
  • Sensors: Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Compass
  • Ports: minimum of one USB 2.0 port
  • Camera: 720p capable for video recording
  • Minimum of 5 multitouch points

These above specs and features sound sweet and exciting. Microsoft has definitely something interesting stored for us in the coming months.
